Instagram Autoplay Neutralizer is a browser extension designed to stop video autoplay on Instagram Web. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

What This Extension Does NOT Do:

• ❌ Does not track your browsing history
• ❌ Does not access your Instagram account credentials
• ❌ Does not read your messages, posts, or personal content
• ❌ Does not communicate with any external servers
• ❌ Does not use analytics or tracking services
• ❌ Does not store any data outside your browser

What This Extension DOES Do:

• ✅ Blocks video autoplay on Instagram.com
• ✅ Stores your preferences locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
• ✅ All processing happens entirely in your browser

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's storage.sync API to save your preferences (such as whether blur is enabled or the intent window duration). This data:

• Stays on your device and in your Chrome profile
• Syncs across your Chrome browsers if you're signed in (via Google's infrastructure, not ours)
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the extension
